Hey guys... went 0/3 with the big dog last night... I'm a WHM61 who was leveling WHM so that I could get my avatars and then move to SMN as my main... I have them all but fenrir and diabolos now...

I have 100,000 gil and I'm willing to lose it all, if that's what it takes. I know it's not much, but it's all I have.

You are way, way too low to do the Fenrir fight with anything except a SMN x 5 or BLMx5 party, and your chances of getting Diabolos are effectively zero at your level.

Optimism! It's contagious! ^^

With all due respect, Icemage, we came real close to beating him last night. In fact, I was one of the only ones able to survive his 2-hour when it hit darksday. I think if it hadn't hit darksday we may have won it ; ;.

With the setup we were using, I don't think my level really came into play. Fenrir takes all buffs away, I can cast Haste, I can survive his 2 hour, and I have Cure V. To top it off, I'm a good player. I'm unsure what an extra 9 levels would add besides a little more MP and perhaps the benefit of Protect IV (that he'd just dispell anyways).

With that said, I realize that I'm asking for quite the favor here. I know you know a lot and you're quite good at your job(s) and I mean no disrespect. But all those people keep the attitude that fenrir is only for people that have multiple jobs at 75 and that's not fair. People get it all the time as SMN1. I've worked really hard at what I do and theres no reason that I shouldn't be one of them.

So if any SMN is willing to help me out, please let me know! We can set a time and I can hopefully get a few SMN friends of mine to help as well ^^
